How to download an Instagram Reel
Copy the link, check the available file and find the saved video on your device.
Before you begin
Use a video you created or have permission to save. A public post does not automatically give permission to copy or repost it. Reelpick does not ask for an Instagram password or login cookie.
Copy the video link
Open the Reel and use the sharing menu to copy its link. Copy the video URL, not the profile or search page. A typical link starts with https://www.instagram.com/reel/.
Choose an available file
Paste the link into Reelpick, select Get video, then check the preview. If multiple files are available, choose a quality and select Download MP4. Resolution and audio depend on the source; no upscaling is performed.
Find the file on iPhone or Android
On iPhone, check the Files app and its Downloads folder. On Android, open Downloads in your file manager. On a computer, use your browser's downloads list. The exact location depends on your settings. You may need to save or share the file to Photos separately.
If a download fails
Check that the original post still exists and is publicly accessible. Copy the complete link again. If you see a request limit, wait at least one minute. Private, deleted and login-restricted videos are unsupported; repeated retries do not remove those restrictions.
Expired links and video quality
Download links are temporary. If a link expires, request the Reel again. Only available files are shown. A post's advertised resolution may differ from the file that can actually be downloaded.
Saving is different from reusing
Saving a file does not transfer rights to its video, music or images. Get the necessary permission before editing, reposting or using it commercially. Reelpick is not an official Instagram or Meta service.
